The Founder Showcase brings together over 300 leading investors, founders, and members of the press for one action-packed night to network, hear talks from leading CEOs, and help launch a startup company to greatness.

The 9th Founder Showcase is scheduled for Thursday, January 19th in Mountain View, CA, and will be our most exclusive event yet with only 175 tickets available to the general public. For the first time the event will feature TheFunded.com’s Entrepreneur Investor Awards, where we will celebrate the top startup investors of 2011, and discuss the prospects of 2012 through a series of on-stage discussions with Mark Suster, Mike Maples, Jr., and Dave McClure. We are expecting over 150 startup investors in attendance, so purchase your tickets today.

Tickets start at just $75 - but this event has sold out the last six times, so get your tickets today.

Contest Requirements

Any early-stage company that is less than 2 years old, with less than $250k USD in funding is invited to apply to the Founder Showcase Pitch Competition. Plus, you'll even get $50 in Elance Credit just for applying!

You will need to submit a video for entry. Don't freak out - this is a seed-stage startup competition, so non-professionally produced videos work just fine (ex. webcam of you talking, or a video of you pitching your company elsewhere). There are no tight requirements on the video, but the best format is 3 - 5 minutes, covering the following topics;

  1. What does your company do, and what need does it serve?
  2. Describe the market where you will compete.
  3. What makes you unique compared to your competition? In other words, what is your secret sauce?
  4. Where are you in your growth plans?
  5. Who are you/ your team?
  6. What do you hope to achieve by competing in the Founder Showcase?
  7. SHOW PRODUCT!

Online public voting that takes place prior to the voting deadline of 11:59pm PST on Friday, January 6th, 2012 will play a major, but not sole, part in deciding the top 20 companies who advance to the Quarterfinal Round of the Competition.

We take pride in showing the most promising seed-stage technology companies at the Founder Showcase, so we reserve a level of internal judgement. In the end, we are choosing companies that we think have the best chance for success on stage at our event.

These Quarterfinalists will be privately notified on Saturday, January 7th. Over the following two weeks, the Quarterfinalists will undergo evaluation and be narrowed down to 15 Semifinalists, and then the 8 Finalists who are invited to attend and pitch at the event for free.
